Arpacal: “Su Crotone mai tanta pioggia dal 1916”
“Per il territorio della provincia di Crotone si è trattato di un evento eccezionale”. E’ quanto afferma l’Arpacal a proposito dell’alluvione che ha colpito il crotonese tra il 21 e il 23 novembre scorsi provocando ingenti danni nei centri abitati come nelle campagne. Tanto eccezionale che, analzzando i dati meteo pluviometrici di quei giorni rilevati dalla propria rete di monitoraggio, l’Arpacal ha scoperto che nella sola giornata del 21 novembre la precipitazione registrata dalla stazione pluviometrica di Crotone nella giornata del 21 novembre 2020 risulta la più alta in assoluto dal 1916. Questo e atri dati sono racchiusi nel rapporto che il Centro funzionale multirischi dell’Arpacal, diretto da Eugenio Filice, ha trasmesso alla Protezione civile regionale ed all’assessore all’Ambiente della Regione Calabria che servirà come supporto per la predisposizione del documento tecnico di accompagnamento alla delibera con la quale la Giunta Regionale chiederà al Governo il riconoscimento dello stato di calamità naturale.
Il rapporto spiega che le piogge intense e persistenti che si sono registrate tra il 21 e il 23 novembre sul versante ionico hanno colpito sopratttuto la provincia di Crotone dove si sono accumulate precipitazioni superiori ai 300 millimetri. Fenomeni che si sono poi spostati sulla provincia cosentina e nei giorni successivi sulla Calabria meridionale. Arpacal segnala che le principali criticità si sono registrare nella città di Crotone (con 263 milimetri di pioggia il 21 novembre), Crucoli (246), Cirò Superiore (236), Crotone Salica (233), Crotone Papanice (205). Croplati (202), Cirò Marina (210).
