Il Garante per l’infanzia e l’adolescenza della Regione, Antonio Marziale, insieme al sindaco Simona Scarcella, alla dirigente scolastica Antonella Coppola e a don Natale Ioculano, ha inaugurato l’anno scolastico 2024- 2025 nella Scuola paritaria cattolica “Giovanni XXIII” di Gioia Tauro. Presenti, oltre ai bambini, ai docenti ed al personale scolastico, molti genitori, ai quali il Garante ha raccomandato di essere: “vicini alla scuola, di sentirsi parte attiva e, qualora una convocazione coincida con Temptation Island o con una partita di calcio, di dare precedenza alla chiamata della scuola”. “Vi svelo un segreto – ha detto Marziale, rivolgendosi ai piccoli alunni – dovete immaginare la scuola come un grande gioco, il più bello. Voi giocherete ad imparare a scrivere, a leggere, a stare insieme ed anche i vostri maestri faranno la stessa cosa, ossia giocheranno a formarvi, in comunione con i genitori ai quali è demandato il compito di educarvi”. “È la prima volta, da quando sono Garante, che inauguro l’inizio dell’anno scolastico in una scuola paritaria – ha sottolineato Marziale – che ha la stessa dignità della scuola pubblica e che rappresenta la preservazione e la promozione delle nostre radici cristiane. Radici, che hanno dato l’avvio alle democrazie, al diritto allo studio ed ai valori dell’amicizia, che non è quelle dei social network”.
