“Dichiarare subito lo stato di emergenza per i Comuni della fascia ionica cosentina che ricadono nell’area della valle del Trionto”. Questa la richiesta del capogruppo del Movimento 5 Stelle al Consiglio regionale Davide Tavernise, al presidente della giunta regionale Roberto Occhiuto, che fa seguito alla stessa richiesta inoltrata dalle amministrazioni comunali coinvolte. Il fine è quello di cercare di “mitigare i danni di questa crisi idrica che ha stretto nella sua morsa buona parte del territorio calabrese”. “L’assenza di precipitazioni – continua il pentastellato – unita alla mancanza di programmazione e ad una rete idrica colabrodo ha lasciato a secco i comuni di Caloveto, Cropalati, Longobucco, Paludi, Crosia e Calopezzati, mettendo a rischio la stagione estiva e soprattutto la condizione igienico-sanitarie delle popolazioni coinvolte che riscontrano difficoltà anche solo per l’uso domestico. In questo momento non si riescono a soddisfare i fabbisogni delle comunità, il cui numero è in aumento per via dell’arrivo di turisti”. “Necessario in queste condizioni critiche un tavolo per monitorare la situazione -prosegue Tavernise- e non abbandonare le amministrazioni a fronteggiare una crisi idrica senza precedenti che si sta aggravando di giorno in giorno andando ad interessare l’acquedotto Macrocioli e i pozzi di Caloveto, per come comunicato anche da Sorical. L’assenza di precipitazioni ha provocato l’abbassamento dei livelli delle falde acquifere, creando una situazione drammatica e insostenibile”. “Per tutti questi motivi -conclude il consigliere regionale- rinnovo l’appello al presidente Occhiuto, al prefetto di Cosenza Rosa Maria Padovano, al dipartimento di Protezione civile e all’amministratore unico della Sorical per mettere in campo ogni azione necessaria a mitigare questa grave problematica iniziando a programmare in maniera concreta il futuro idrico della nostra terra”.
