La squadra mobile di Reggio Calabria ha arrestato quasi in flagranza di reato Giuseppe Sicari, di 60 anni, che nel primo pomeriggio di ieri aveva ucciso nel quartiere Catona, alla periferia nord della città dello Stretto, Francesco Giuseppe Fiume, di 44 anni, suo parente acquisito. L’uomo è rimasto per alcune ore in Questura dove si era costituito poco dopo l’omicidio e dove si è svolto l’interrogatorio cui è stato sottoposto. Sicari, dipendente del Provveditorato, ha risposto alle domande degli investigatori della squadra mobile e del sostituto procuratore di turno Tommaso Pozzati. Dopo il delitto Sicari, incensurato, si è costituito e ha detto agli inquirenti di avere agito perché esasperato. Da anni, infatti, c’erano degli screzi tra l’assassino e la vittima conosciuto dalle forze dell’ordine per piccoli fatti. Screzi per futili motivi che, nelle ultime ore, si sarebbero accentuati tanto da spingere Sicari a prendere la pistola, regolarmente detenuta, ed a sparare contro Fiume, cugino della moglie. Il 44enne è stato ucciso davanti all’abitazione di Sicari mentre era a bordo della propria auto, una Fiat Stilo grigia. Era seduto sul posto di guida quando lo hanno trovato i poliziotti della Squadra mobile e della scientifica intervenuti sul posto per eseguire i rilievi. Sul corpo di Francesco Fiume, padre di una bambina, è stata disposta l’autopsia. Al termine dell’interrogatorio Sicari è stato condotto in carcere mentre proseguono le indagini della polizia per ricostruire la dinamica e l’esatto movente alla base dell’omicidio. L’arresto del sessantenne, nelle prossime ore, dovrà essere convalidato dal gip.
