Controlli straordinari sono stati svolti, nel corso delle festività appena trascorse, dai carabinieri della compagnia di Taurianova, dispiegati in diversi servizi su tutta la fascia pedemontana della piana di Gioia Tauro.I militari dell’Arma hanno denunciato in stato di libertà 5 persone che avevano assunto alcolici in misura superiore di quella prevista dal codice della strada: oltre ad essere stati segnalati alla Procura di Palmi, nei loro confronti è stato contestato il ritiro della patente con contestuale decurtazione di 10 punti, nonché il sequestro dell’autovettura.Nell’ambito dei controlli alla circolazione stradale, inoltre, i carabinieri hanno arrestato un 31enne di Cinquefrondi per il reato di resistenza a pubblico ufficiale, in quanto al fine di evadere il controllo con l’etilometro, non ha esitato a spintonare i militari che lo avevano fermato. A Varapodio, un 25enne del posto è stato denunciato oltraggio a pubblico ufficiale, per aver rivolto gravi insulti ai carabinieri intenti a controllarlo.
