Anche nello Stretto di Messina da stamani non si viaggia senza Green pass, tutti i viaggiatori tra Messina e Villa San Giovanni per passare da una sponda all’altra, dovranno essere muniti della certificazione verde. Già dalla prima corsa alle 6.40 decine di persone sono in fila e, oltre ad acquistare il biglietto, devono mostrare il Green pass agli addetti della Caronte & Tourist al molo San Francesco. Molti viaggiatori hanno accolto bene la novità. Giovanni, che viaggia con moglie e due figli ed era venuto per una breve vacanza in Sicilia, commenta: “Il provvedimento lo trovo giusto, noi siamo tutti vaccinati in famiglia e visto l’aumento dei contagi c’era la necessità di più controlli”. Dello stesso avviso Claudio e Francesco, studenti pendolari: “Siamo felici di questa decisione almeno si viaggia più tranquilli, non era normale che solo qui non ci fossero controlli”. Tutti i passeggeri vengono controllati all’imbarcadero dei privati come a quello delle Ferrovie. Qualcuno non sapeva della novità e arrabbiato afferma: “Ora andrò a farmi il tampone. Ma da domani mi faccio il vaccino non è possibile farsi un tampone al giorno, ormai è come ci fosse l’obbligo vaccinale”.
“Sul piano organizzativo per noi è un impegno gravoso, abbiamo dovuto assumere altre 30 persone per i controlli del Green pass”. A dirlo Tiziano Minuti responsabile del personale e della comunicazione della Caronte & tourist dopo che da oggi per attraversare lo Stretto tra Messina e Villa San Giovanni è obbligatoria la ‘carta verde’. “La nostra macchina organizzativa – aggiunge – è impeccabile. Grazie al supporto delle forze dell’ordine e dell’esercito tutto fino ad ora ha funzionato per il meglio”.
