Diverse imprese e oltre 100 lavoratori controllati, 17 persone denunciate per violazioni in materia di sicurezza sul lavoro e per il reato di abusivismo edilizio, 5 gli immobili abusivi sequestrati penalmente e sanzioni per oltre 40.000 euro contestate. Questo il bilancio dei controlli, eseguiti nei giorni scorsi, sui cantieri edili presenti nel territorio della piana di Gioia Tauro, in sinergia tra i carabinieri della compagnia di Taurianova e del Nucleo Ispettorato del Lavoro di Reggio Calabria, con l’obiettivo di mirare alla prevenzione degli incidenti sul lavoro e scongiurare ulteriori morti bianche fra gli operai. I militari hanno riscontrato alcune irregolarità mentre un cantiere è stato sospeso per carenze in materia di sicurezza e la presenza di personale impiegato in nero. In particolare, a San Giorgio Morgeto i Carabinieri hanno riscontrato la presenza di due immobili, uno in contrada “Ricevuto” e l’altro in contrada “Longo”, realizzati in totale assenza delle autorizzazioni a costruire. Immediato, quindi, il sequestro dei manufatti e la denuncia alla Procura di Palmi dei proprietari, rispettivamente due coniugi e un nucleo familiare composto da 8 fratelli.
Situazione simile quella che i militari hanno riscontrato nel corso dei controlli esperiti a Molochio, dove sono 2 gli immobili abusivi sottoposti a sequestro perché realizzati abusivamente. Anche in questa circostanza, i carabinieri hanno denunciato all’autorità giudiziaria i proprietari, 4 persone, colti in procinto di costruire senza autorizzazione alcuna.
A Cinquefrondi, 3 sono state le denunce che hanno riguardato soggetti in procinto di realizzare delle pertinenze abusive alla villetta in comproprietà. Immediato, anche in questo caso, il sequestro dell’opera in corso di costruzione.I controlli focalizzati sulle imprese edili hanno permesso di riscontrare e immediatamente sanare le irregolarità di due cantieri, uno a Taurianova, nella frazione San Martino, e l’altro a Molochio. I titolari, oltre a non sottoporre il personale dipendente alla prevista visita medica per ottenere l’idoneità al lavoro pesante, impiegavano attrezzature non conformi all’attuale normativa di settore, esponendo così a grave rischio la salute degli operai, costretti a lavorare in situazioni non a norma. Immediata la sospensione dell’attività di uno dei due cantieri, al cui interno i militari hanno verificato la presenza di lavoratori dipendenti senza che fosse stata avviata la preventiva comunicazione di instaurazione del rapporto di lavoro dall’imprenditore responsabile.
