REGGIO CALABRIA/ I partiti di centrodestra hanno deciso le dimissioni dei loro rappresentanti in consiglio comunale per portare Reggio Calabria alle elezioni dopo la sospensione del sindaco. La decisione è stata ufficializzata con un comunicato di Forza Italia, Lega, Fratelli d’Italia, Coraggio Italia e Reggio attiva. “Non commentiamo – è scritto in una nota – provvedimenti giudiziari e, soprattutto, non festeggiamo per condanne altrui. Conosciamo il valore irrinunciabile della presunzione di innocenza. Rimaniamo garantisti anche quando le sentenze riguardano gli avversari politici. Del resto, non c’è nulla da festeggiare, perché dal caso “Miramare” e dalle altre vicende in cui è coinvolta la maggioranza ad uscirne veramente sconfitti sono i cittadini, l’immagine di Reggio e l’andamento della cosa pubblica. Siamo consapevoli dei rischi quotidiani che corre chi amministra, i sindaci in particolare, anche a causa di una legge, la Severino appunto, che di certo è da rivedere il prima possibile; malgrado ciò – si fa rilevare – va rispettata finché tale sarà. Ma il problema di Reggio Calabria e della sua amministrazione non è la Severino in sé, né l’abuso d’ufficio contestato a mezza squadra Falcomatà, è piuttosto la mancanza di agibilità politica, nonché le condizioni pessime in cui versa ogni settore dell’Amministrazione comunale. Ecco perché ci saremmo aspettati le dimissioni del sindaco (anche prima della sentenza) e ancor di più di coloro rimasti a comporre la maggioranza”.
Per il centrodestra, “oltre a Giuseppe Falcomatà e agli altri membri della maggioranza residua, sono venuti meno i valori propri della morale politica. Gravissimo, in tal senso, è stato l’atteggiamento assunto nei confronti del vicesindaco, prof. Tonino Perna, a cui è stato riservato un trattamento politicamente perverso: nominato per fiducia e poi (a sua insaputa) sollevato dall’incarico per convenienza. Rassegnando le dimissioni e prendendo una netta distanza dalla linea politica falcomatiana – cosa che avrebbe dovuto fare prima, proprio perché complice di questo disastro – Perna ha rappresentato un quadro allarmante delle dinamiche interne comunali. Inquietanti – si legge – le sue affermazioni su Falcomatà, tanto sull’aspetto personale quanto politico.Un sindaco che – secondo l’opposizione – ha politicamente mentito a ripetizione, anche ai “suoi”, anche un minuto dopo la lettura della sentenza, quando ha detto che avrebbe discusso il da farsi con il Partito e con la “squadra” e che solo dopo avrebbe reso conto alla cittadinanza. Nulla di tutto ciò. In realtà cosa fare lo aveva già deciso da tempo, in totale autonomia, e predisposto ancor prima di entrare in aula bunker, come confermano le delibere pubblicate un istante dopo l’intervista, rilasciata con l’arroganza politica tipica della sua amministrazione”.
