Indagano gli agenti della Polizia di Stato sul raid vandalico compiuto la notte scorsa da ignoti malviventi nella sede della cooperativa sociale Noemi, che da anni opera in città a favore di minori e donne in difficoltà ma anche di immigrati. Le forze dell’ordine ritengono che l’intrusione nei locali del centro, messi a soqquadro vandalizzando arredi e strumenti, sia opera di balordi. Né gli operatori della cooperativa, che questa mattina al loro arrivo presso la sede di via Giovanni Paolo II hanno scoperto quanto accaduto la notte precedente, nutrono sospetti di alcun tipo. Solidarietà e vicinanza personale è stata espressa agli operatori della cooperativa Noemi dal sindaco di Crotone Vincenzo Voce e dell’amministrazione comunale.
“Un gesto vile che condanniamo, subito da una cooperativa che opera meritoriamente nella nostra città a tutela dei minori e in numerosi altri settori del sociale” si legge in una nota dell’assessoore alle Politiche sociali Filly Pollinzi. “Ho avuto modo più volte di incontrare gli operatori ed in particolare suor Michela che è il cuore pulsante di questo importante polo sociale della nostra città. Una struttura con la quale c’è costante sinergia e con la quale continueremo a dialogare” conclude Pollinzi.
“Non posso che esprimere il mio più completo sdegno per l’atto vergognoso che ignoti questa notte hanno perpetuato contro il centro Noemi” afferma l’ex consigliera regionale Flora Sculco. “Crotone non può e non deve tollerare questi gesti che non solo danneggiano una struttura importante per l’intera città di Crotone, un vero e proprio spazio di solidarietà e socialità, ma che ci colpiscono nell’animo” dichiara Sculco in una nota esprimendo la sua solidarietà a tutte le operatrici e agli operatori del centro Noemi.
La cooperativa è una delle più longeve nel panorama delle attività sociali cittadine. E’ stata fondata nel gennaio 1997 da un gruppo formato dalle suore della Divina volontà, dai Gaetanini della Parrocchia Sacro Cuore di San Francesco e da alcuni laici.
