“E’ importantissimo che ci siano i controlli sulla pulizia delle liste, però è fondamentale che anche le persone quando esprimono il loro voto e la loro preferenza lo facciano con consapevolezza. Le liste devono essere pulite ma penso che il primo sistema per eleggere candidati puliti sia votare per le persone perbene”. Lo ha detto il sottosegretario all’interno Ivan Scalfarotto a Catanzaro parlando con i giornalisti a margine di un incontro che ha avuto con il prefetto del capoluogo Maria Teresa Cucinotta e con i vertici delle Forze dell’ordine. “E’ ovvio poi – ha aggiunto Scalfarotto – che siano i partiti a candidare persone al di sopra di ogni sospetto. Tuttavia, non è soltanto responsabilità dei partiti è anche responsabilità dei cittadini che devono scegliere candidati che loro conoscono come assolutamente perbene. Il ruolo della cittadinanza attiva è sempre fondamentale”. “Le istituzioni e i partiti – ha detto ancora il sottosegretario all’interno – devono fare i compiti a casa con estremo scrupolo, l’invito è però anche ai cittadini che nell’esercizio del diritto di voto si ricordino quanto è importante la loro decisione. Penso questo in genere: nel contrasto ai fenomeni criminali il ruolo dello Stato nella repressione dei fenomeni criminali è basilare, ma senza una partecipazione attiva della cittadinanza la repressione non è risolutiva. Bisogna recuperare spazi di territorio anche individualmente e come comunità. Forze dell’ordine magistratura e anche esercito come abbiamo visto in tante circostanze, testimoniano la presenza dello Stato, non ci dimentichiamo mai, però, quanto è importante il ruolo di ciascuno di noi”.
