Il segretario provinciale del Siulp (Sindacato italiano unitario dei lavoratori di polizia), Claudio Giammarino, è stato indagato dalla Procura della Repubblica di Crotone per calunnia nei confronti del suo datore di lavoro, il questore Massimo Gambino. E’ accaduto che nella sua qualità di sindacalista, Giammarino, nei mesi scorsi, avesse chiesto al questore i documenti che certificassero la sicurezza del luogo di lavoro in cui operano i poliziotti, l’edificio di via Pastificio. Come rappresentante per la sicurezza dei lavoratori chiedeva se la questura fosse in possesso del certificato prevenzione incendi e del documento di valutazione dei rischi.
Non ricevendo risposta, Giammarino, con il supporto del Siulp regionale e nazionale, si era rivolto alla Procura della Repubblica di Crotone sollecitandola a verificare l’esistenza dei documenti, ma a quel punto è stato indagato per calunnia nei confronti del questore. La vicenda ha provocato la reazione del Siulp che questa mattina ha tenuto un sit in davanti alla Questura di Crotone al quale ha preso parte anche il segretario nazionale del sindacato di polizia Felice Romano, ma anche il segretario regionale del Siulp, Giuseppe Lupia, il segretario della Cisl Calabria, Tonino Russo, e tutti i segretari provinciali del Siulp. Presenti circa 150 dipendenti della Polizia di Stato.
“La questura di Crotone – ha detto Romano – sorge su un sito dove ci sono rifiuti tossici come recita il cartello all’ingresso. Facendo nostro l’appello del presidente Mattarella a lavorare insieme contro le morti bianche sul lavoro abbiamo chiesto al datore di lavoro se esistevano i presupposti di sicurezza attraverso alcuni certificati che la legge prevede. Il datore di lavoro non ha risposto e quindi abbiamo chiesto all’ufficio di vigilanza che è quello che è deputato a fare i controlli. Anche in questo caso non ci ha risposto. Dopo quattro solleciti ci siamo rivolti alla Procura alla quale abbiamo chiesto di verificare se questi documenti esistono. La risposta è stata che chi ha richiesto questi documenti, il segretario provinciale del Siulp di Crotone nelle vesti di responsabile sindacale della sicurezza dei lavoratori, è stato indagato per calunnia”.
Romano lancia un allarme: “Dobbiamo ascoltare il presidente della Repubblica o qualcuno vuole che per i poliziotti non ci sia la sicurezza? Fermo restando che a Firenze è accaduto il contrario dove ci siamo ritrovati indagati proprio per non aver chiesto se c’erano le condizioni di sicurezza previste dalla legge. Ribadiamo la fiducia nella giustizia, ma qui si gioca la credibilità per porre le basi per il rilancio della Calabria e se chi è la prima sentinella contro la criminalità oggi è costretto, per una ‘bronto burocrazia’, a tutelare se stesso è evidente che la strada sarà complicata. Noi come sindacato e Cisl faremo barriere per non far morire la legalità ma farla fiorire proprio da qui, da Crotone”. Per Claudio Gammarino “la presenza di colleghi da tutta la regione significa solidarietà, significa che il Siulp nazionale è attento ai temi della sicurezza sul lavoro e che abbiamo una regione coesa che fa gruppo rispetto alle esigenze dei poliziotti e della sicurezza sui luoghi sul lavoro. Un tema così importante non è stato ascoltato dall’Amministrazione ed era necessario dare un segnale rispetto a questa tematica”.
