La Guardia di Finanza del comando provinciale di Catanzaro e la Squadra Mobile della Questura di Catanzaro, con il coordinamento della Procura della Repubblica Direzione Distrettuale Antimafia di Catanzaro, hanno dato esecuzione ad un provvedimento di sequestro preventivo di beni per un valore complessivo di circa 750.000 euro, nei confronti di titolari di imprese agricole, per diverse truffe ai danni dell’Inps.
Il provvedimento di sequestro preventivo, emesso dal Gip su richiesta della Direzione Distrettuale Antimafia di Catanzaro, costituisce un seguito delle ulteriori risultanze indagini emerse nell’ambito del procedimento penale “Borderland”, che nel novembre 2016 ha portato alla esecuzione di numerose ordinanze di custodia cautelare nei confronti di soggetti ritenuti appartenenti o comunque vicini alla organizzazione criminale, operante nel Crotonese e nell’alto Ionio Catanzarese, facente capo alle famiglie Tropea di Cropani e Trapasso di San Leonardo di Cutro. Il provvedimento è scaturito dalle convergenze investigative della squadra mobile catanzarese con quelle del Gruppo della Guardia di Finanza di Catanzaro nel settore della spesa pubblica nazionale e previdenziale, con l’acquisizione di elementi di riscontro alle indagini tecniche eseguite dalla Polizia di Stato nell’ambito del procedimento Borderland, in relazione ad una serie di rapporti di lavoro fittizi in ambito agricolo, con la indebita erogazione delle relative prestazioni previdenziali.
