“Tutelare le dune della Pineta di Giovino, come ha fatto il Comune di Catanzaro, è un atto doveroso che preserva il nostro habitat mediterraneo e valorizza le bellezze della natura». Lo ha detto stamani, intervenendo alla manifestazione organizzata nella sede dell’Asd Fac, sul lungomare di località Giovino di Catanzaro, l’assessore regionale all’Ambiente, Sergio De Caprio.L’occasione è nata dalla presentazione dell’ordinanza del Comune del capoluogo con cui vengono tutelate le dune del lido per mezzo di nuove restrizioni.«Sono fiero di voi – ha aggiunto De Caprio – per l’impegno che dimostrate. La Regione è al vostro fianco, così come è al fianco di tutti i 404 comuni presenti in Calabria».
De Caprio ha citato i 140 milioni di euro, richiesti nell’ambito del Recovery fund, «per i contratti di costa, di fiume e di lago, risorse con le quali costruiremo piste ciclabili su tutte le fiumare che, dal mare, porteranno turismo su tutte le montagne e viceversa. Faremo piani industriali, perché vogliamo che la nostra storia e il nostro orgoglio vengano premiati e mostrati all’Italia intera». L’ assessore si è poi recato in visita all’alveo del fiume Alli, dove esistono diverse discariche abusive.«Dobbiamo difendere i nostri fiumi e le nostre coste da chi, a volte senza rendersene nemmeno conto – ha detto De Caprio –, le offende e le inquina, mortificando il lavoro di intere generazioni che hanno lavorato per garantirci una natura rispettabile. Anche su questo interverremo concretamente con fatti e con una sinergia con i comuni volta a garantire la bellezza dei nostri siti naturalistici».
