“Al tempo della pandemia da Covid19, momento di massima emergenza sanitaria non solo nella nostra regione, la gestione della nefrologia e dialisi nell’ Azienda ospedaliera Pugliese Ciaccio è l’espressione di una perfetta collaborazione e massima sensibilità tra dirigenza aziendale, operatori di nefrologia e la nostra associazione. Siamo molto grati alla dirigenza aziendale per l’immediata installazione di osmosi inversa portatile nei locali della ‘rianimazione no covid’ e per la trasformazione in itinere della stanza di Day Hospital in stanza di degenza nefrologica, operazioni richieste dal primario di nefrologia, Salvatore Chiarella e supportate da noi per l’importante evidenza clinica”. E’ quanto si afferma in una nota di Aned. “Operazioni certamente propedeutiche – è scritto nella nota – ad un’ottimale offerta specialistica di diagnostica e cura e messa in atto di specifiche metodiche dialitiche. I pazienti affetti da insufficienza renale, siano essi in terapia conservativa o in terapia sostitutiva così come i pazienti portatori di trapianto renale, sono tutti soggetti fragili e con comorbilità che necessitano di ricovero in ambiente nefrologico. Il personale medico e infermieristico del reparto, in questa delicatissima fase pandemica, si sono anche resi disponibili per prelievi preventivi di tamponi evitando il passaggio triage covid ai pazienti fragili. La professionalità e l’abnegazione di questi operatori, la sensibilità e la rapidità degli interventi della dirigenza aziendale e l’impegno costante di Aned preludono ad ulteriori sviluppi migliorativi dell’offerta di questa nefrologia”. “Infatti, mentre continua l’attività di Day Hospital per quei pazienti che hanno in corso o debbono iniziare terapia specifica non somministrabile al proprio domicilio – riporta ancora il comunicato – si ritiene indispensabile organizzare un ambulatorio dedicato per pazienti al quinto e ultimo stadio della Insufficienza renale per supportarli psicologicamente e offrire costante assistenza del dietista onde ritardare il più possibile la dialisi. Per quanto espresso, riteniamo utile lanciare un appello. Tutte le associazioni che operano in campo sanitario devono unirsi per sostenere i dirigenti preposti alla guerra al virus e non assecondare pseudo associazioni culturali e parapolitiche che ostacolano con ignobili prese di posizione l’azione non facile dei dirigenti aziendali e ingenerano paure nei pazienti al pari di quei politici che perseguono solo interessi elettorali e che sono i veri responsabili dello smantellamento della sanità pubblica”.
