I carabinieri della Compagnia Carabinieri di Tropea stamani hanno eseguito 16 misure cautelari nei confronti dei componenti di due distinte organizzazioni dedite a furti in abitazione e a furto e riciclaggio di autovetture. Il provvedimento è stato emesso dal Gip del Tribunale di Vibo Valentia, su richiesta Procura, guidata dal Procuratore Camillo Falvo. L’indagine, denominata “Apate”, dea dell’inganno, ha ricostruito numerosi episodi avvenuti, nel territorio della “Costa degli dei”, anche attraverso filmati che riprendono gli uomini della banda in azione. Un “colpo” in abitazione è stato tentato addirittura durante il matrimonio dell’ignara vittima.
Associazione a delinquere, ricettazione, truffa, riciclaggio di auto e furto aggravato le accuse ipotizzate a vario titolo a 26 indagati di cui 16 raggiunti dalla misura cautelare nell’ambito di un’operazione della Procura di Vibo Valentia e dei carabinieri della Compagnia di Tropea. In carcere sono finiti Antonio Paparatto, 49 anni, di Ricadi e Aldo Mangialavori, 42 anni, di Rombiolo. Arresti domiciliari per Gerardo Accorinti, Francesco Cortese, Salvatore Carone, Francesco Carone, Vincenzo Albanese, Francesco De Benedetto, Filippo Saragò, tutti di Tropea e Romanina Scordamaglia di Ricadi.
Le due bande, guidate da Paparatto e Mangialavori, avrebbero operato dal settembre 2018 rubando auto a cittadini stranieri a Tropea (spesso auto prese a noleggio) per poi smontarle e rivenderle sul mercato. Diversi anche i furti in abitazioni di Tropea. In un caso i ladri sono stati messi in fuga dal cane della proprietaria. Le richieste di misure cautelari erano state depositate dalla procura di Vibo nel dicembre dello scorso anno.
