Tra i cinque comuni al voto nella provincia di Crotone è quello di Santa Severina ad aver eletto per primo il nuovo sindaco. Si tratta di Lucio Giordano, riconfermato alla carica di primo cittadino candidato per la lista “Il Borgo”, che ha ottenuto 865 voti (pari al 61% dei votanti) contro i 524 raccolti dalla rivale, Angelina Rizzuti (36%) capolista di “Insieme per cambiare”. Sono state 11 le schede bianche, 17 quelle nulle. Giordano, 62 anni, cardiologo presso l’ospedale civile di Crotone, componente del Partito democratico, ha guidato il Comune di Santa Severina negli ultimi cinque anni.
