Non è rimasto vittima di un agguato ma si sarebbe portato a Nicotera Marina per compiere due omicidi. Rimasto ferito nel conflitto a fuoco, Salvatore Zungri, 26 anni, di Laureana di Borrello ha ricevuto un avviso di conclusione delle indagini preliminari da parte del pm della Dda di Catanzaro Antonio De Bernardo con l’accusa di duplice tentato omicidio aggravato dalle finalità mafiose. La sparatoria si è verificata a Nicotera Marina, contrada Braghò, la sera del 4 novembre 2013.
Vittime designate i fratelli Giuseppe e Davide Piccolo di Nicotera, fatti oggetti di colpi d’arma da fuoco i quali avrebbero però reagito ferendo a colpi di pistola Salvatore Zungri, all’epoca di 19 anni.
Quest’ultimo avrebbe agito su mandato di un componente del clan Mancuso ancora da identificare ed in concorso con altri soggetti non identificati. Zungri avrebbe avuto con Giuseppe e Davide Piccolo un credito per la vendita di marijuana non pagata. Il clan Mancuso sarebbe stato invece intenzionato a riaffermare il potere sul territorio eliminando i fratelli Piccolo ed affidando la missione di morte a Salvatore Zungri, promettendogli l’eliminazione di coloro che in precedenza gli avevano ucciso un cugino.
