Il viceministro delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti, Giancarlo Cancelleri, ha incontrato lunedì pomeriggio, a Catanzaro, i vertici territoriali dell’Anas per fare il punto della situazione per una serie di progetti che riguardano la Calabria. In particolare, Cancelleri e la struttura territoriale dell’Anas si sono soffermati sulla situazione della statale jonica 106 e della strada del Medio Savuto, nota in Calabria come ‘strada che non c’è’, perché progettata fin dagli anni ’80 ma ancora non completata. “Sul piano delle infrastrutture – osserva Cancelleri, parlando con i giornalisti a margine della riunione – la Calabria ha grandi deficit, che devono essere affrontati. Da uomo del Sud, non mollo la questione Anas, che sto facendo davvero correre e tanto, ma devo dire che con l’amministratore delegato Simonini abbiamo trovato davvero un’intesa eccezionale. La Calabria ha bisogno di risposte concrete e vere. Qualcuno dirà: ‘non ci crediamo, sono le solite passerelle da campagna elettorale. Dopo il 26 gennaio, dal 27 saremo qui insieme al nuovo presidente della Regione per analizzare i problemi, le soluzioni e le possibilità per portare la Calabria fuori da un’arretratezza sul piano infrastrutturale non più accettabile”. “Questo – rimarca il viceministro – lo dico da uomo del Sud, senza il rischio di offendere qualcuno”. Secondo Cancelli, “in Calabria il problema è soprattutto il fatto che molte strade sono insicure nella loro percorrenza. La statale 106 è davvero una strada terribile. Non è accettabile che una strada statale, cioè dello Stato, sia in queste condizioni. Dobbiamo intervenire. Ci sono tanti soldi messi a disposizione per le progettazioni, devono partire immediatamente i lavori, dobbiamo tagliare i tempi”.
