“I dati lo confermano: l’aeroporto S. Anna deve volare! Nel mese di ottobre lo scalo pitagorico ha registrato un +82,7% sul traffico dei passeggeri ed un incremento dei movimenti del +103,7%, numeri da capogiro che non lasciano dubbi sulle potenzialità e sulla necessità che l’aeroporto continui ad essere operativo”. Lo afferma la consigliera regionale Flora Sculco, aggiungendo che “nel 2019 i passeggeri che hanno scelto Crotone sono stati 148.644 con una variazione del +106,8%, solo questi dati dovrebbero essere sufficienti a convincere, se ce ne dovessero ancora essere, gli scettici. Crotone – spiega – è uno snodo importante per la Calabria e l’aeroporto pitagorico fa e dovrà continuare a fare la differenza nel sistema delle infrastrutture regionali. Siamo passati dalla sciagurata chiusura dello scalo alla riapertura e potenziamento, con voli anche esteri, e la previsione per il prossimo anno di un ulteriore incremento delle tratte. I collegamenti attuali per il nord del Paese, Bergamo e Bologna, il volo operativo fino allo scorso mese per Norimberga, e la programmazione dello stesso per il prossimo anno a partire da marzo, la conclusione positiva della conferenza di servizi per il riconoscimento della continuità territoriale con conseguente aggiunta dei voli da e per Roma, Torino e Venezia sono – continua – il frutto di un lavoro lungo, spesso non semplice e reso difficile in alcuni momenti dalla chiara volontà di qualcuno di tagliare le ali al nostro territorio. Abbiamo risposto ancora una volta con i fatti, abbiamo reclamato – sottolinea – il nostro legittimo diritto alla crescita ed allo sviluppo del territorio che passa necessariamente attraverso una rete infrastrutturale che amplia l’orizzonte ed offre l’opportunità di non restare chiusi”.
