“Un patto tra imprese, lavoro e istituzioni: questa è la strada sulla quale bisogna procedere per determinare il riscatto e la crescita della Calabria e per proiettare questa terra verso il futuro”. Lo ha detto il Presidente della Regione, Mario Oliverio, a margine dell’Assemblea dei soci di Confindustria Crotone che martedì sera ha eletto Mario Spanò nuovo presidente. “Il ruolo delle imprese e degli imprenditori – ha proseguito Oliverio – è fondamentale in una terra come la nostra che per troppo anni è stata abbandonata a se stessa. Il territorio crotonese ha vissuto momenti difficili determinati da una lunga e devastante crisi industriale. Oggi si apre una fase nuova determinata da una serie di investimenti importanti sulle infrastrutture, sulla valorizzazione dei beni culturali, sulla riqualificazione del patrimonio storico effettuati nel corso di questi ultimi anni. Non solo a Crotone, ma nell’intera area jonica la Regione ha scelto di puntare sull’ammodernamento e sulla elettrificazione della ferrovia jonica che nell’arco di due o tre anni diventerà una metropolitana di superficie, abbiamo creduto nella realizzazione di un sistema aeroportuale moderno e, non senza ostacoli ed incomprensioni, abbiamo lavorato alla creazione della società unica aeroportuale. Oggi – ha aggiunto – possiamo dire di aver gettato le basi per un decollo serio, strutturale e solido dell’intero sistema aeroportuale regionale in cui Crotone, con il suo aeroporto, avrà uno spazio importante”. Tutto questo, ha detto Oliverio, “è avvenuto perché abbiamo investito anche perché abbiamo creato opportunità e convenienze per le compagnie aeree. Ryanair non è frutto dello Spirito Santo, così come non lo sono i collegamenti tra il sistema aeroportuale calabrese e quello extranazionale che da 10 del 2014 oggi sono diventati oltre 60”.
