“In questa fase, fin quando non avremo il management nominato e operativo, posso sostituirmi alle decisioni dell’Asp e con un mio provvedimento adottiamo le misure necessarie». Lo ha detto il commissario per la sanità calabrese, Saverio Cotticelli, intervenendo alla mobilitazione nella sede della Regione organizzata dal sindaco di Castrovillari, Domenico Lo Polito, per evidenziare le problematiche e le emergenze del settore nell’area del Pollino-Esaro. Ai tanti amministratori presenti alla manifestazione, Cotticelli ha spiegato: “Sono disponibile a tutte le soluzioni, è fondamentale l’ascolto al territorio, il territorio ha un cuore pulsante ed esigenze che devono essere rappresentate e tutelate. Io sarò ancora più attento alle richieste, perché i sindaci sono l’espressione più genuina della volontà e della democrazia popolare. Ho lasciato il mio cellulare a tutti i sindaci, collaboriamo insieme: visto che – ha sostenuto il commissario – abbiamo un interregno nella gestione delle aziende sanitarie, intervengo direttamente con i miei poteri di surroga e di sostituzione”. Alla manifestazione è intervenuto anche il direttore generale del Dipartimento regionale Tutela della Salute, Antonio Belcastro: “Il nostro obiettivo – ha detto Belcastro – è avvicinare la sanità al cittadino, rafforzando gli spoke e gli hub. Questo è quello che faremo e lo faremo insieme: in questo momento di supplenza e di assenza delle Asp, il Dipartimento vuole ritagliarsi il ruolo di supplenza, poi, conclusa questa fase transitoria, ci ritaglieremo il ruolo che ci dà la legge, di programmazione e non di gestione”.
