Nella Cittadella regionale di Germaneto si è tenuto l’incontro sull’Igp olio di Calabria ‘Scenari di mercato per l’olio extravergine d’oliva: opportunità e prospettive’, promosso dalla Regione Calabria e dal Consorzio di valorizzazione olio Igp Calabria. Ha concluso i lavori Mauro D’Acri, consigliere regionale delegato all’Agricoltura, che ha portato i saluti del presidente Mario Oliverio e ha richiamato gli interventi tecnici che lo hanno preceduto. “Dalle relazioni degli illustri docenti universitari – ha detto – si è evinto che in Calabria, data la conformazione dei nostri terreni, non si può fare agricoltura super intensiva, se non in particolari casi. Ma la qualità del nostro olio, se non fosse ancora chiaro, è veramente rilevante. Negli anni, in questo settore i premi alla produzione hanno creato non pochi danni. L’ultimo sforzo di questa amministrazione regionale è nato con lo scopo di porre rimedio a questa tendenza sbagliata del passato. Parlo del bando del biologico, che abbiamo pubblicato di recente, con il quale abbiamo deciso di cambiare registro e di sostenere chi davvero trasforma e commercializza”. “Oggi – ha concluso D’Acri – dobbiamo avere la consapevolezza che divisi non si va da nessuna parte e che per far conoscere il nostro olio, la nostra arma vincente è proprio il marchio Igp”. Giacomo Giovinazzo, dirigente generale del Dipartimento Agricoltura e Risorse agroalimentari nonché Autorità di Gestione del PSR Calabria, ha esordito definendo l’incontro di mercoledì 10 luglio una sorta di “Stati generali dell’Igp”.
