Il premier Giuseppe Conte è a Bruxelles per il Consiglio Europeo. “La Commissione Ue ha ricevuto la lettera del premier Conte, e la sta ora analizzando”, fa sapere un portavoce del-la Commissione Ue. “Prenderemo anche in considerazione la risposta di Conte ma in questo momento una procedura per debito è giustificata, quindi andiamo a lavorare, in maniera costruttiva, per evitarla. Ma non lo si fa attraverso scambi, commenti sulle regole: lo si fa sul rispetto delle regole che sono intelligenti e favoriscono la crescita”. “La lettera – ha detto il premier prima del Consiglio conmmentando le parole di Mosco-vici – contiene un messaggio politico chiaro. Non vuole dire che non rispettiamo le regole, finché non cambiano le regole sono queste”. “Se siamo in un sistema integrato – ha evidenziato – dobbiamo competere con le sfide globali ma all’interno dell’Ue le regole devono essere uguali per tutti. Io vo-glio competere, ma a parità di armi”. “In Cdm – ha fatto sapere Conte – faremo definitivamente l’assestamento di bilancio per certificare che i conti van-no meglio del previsto”. “Noi potremo certificare che siamo attorno al 2,1% del deficit e non al 2,5 come prevede la commissione Ue”, ha detto ancora sottolineando come, nella trattativa con l’Ue c’è “un binario tecnico” e un “binario politico”. Su quest’ultimo punto Conte ribadisce che l’Ue ha “un patto di stabilità e crescita che è molta stabilità e poca crescita, dobbiamo invertire un attimo queste regole”. Prima del Consiglio il premier italiano ha avuto un colloquio con la Cancelliera Angela Merkel.
