“È infondata e strumentale l’accusa di conflitto di interessi rivolta dalle opposizioni alla collega Dalila Nesci in merito alla vicenda del dottor Gianluigi Scaffidi, proposto dalla struttura commissariale per la Sanità calabrese quale commissario straordinario dell’Asp di Vibo Valentia”. Lo affermano, in una nota, i parlamentari del M5S Francesco Sapia, Bianca Laura Granato, Paolo Parentela e Giuseppe d’Ippolito. “Da tecnico ed esperto di sanità, Scaffidi – spiegano – si è sempre relazionato con tutti e, al di là di ogni colore politico, ha proposto soluzioni a problemi specifici richiestegli da più parti, anche da dirigenti medici e sanitari. I tecnici sono indispensabili, non soltanto alla politica. Nello specifico – aggiungono – il professionista ha soltanto tre torti, la preparazione, il vizio della legalità e l’aver contribuito gratuitamente alle centinaia di denunce del Movimento 5 Stelle su gravissimi abusi nella gestione sanitaria della Calabria: dal corrispettivo gonfiato della Regione al policlinico universitario Mater Domini, alla nomina di primari di reparti inesistenti, peraltro indagati per presunti rapporti con la ‘ndrangheta e comunque già candidati consiglieri regionali in una lista a sostegno di Mario Oliverio. In tutti gli ospedali calabresi – proseguono – Scaffidi è conosciuto per le coraggiose battaglie da sindacalista medico e nell’amministrazione pubblica è noto per la sua competenza, la rettitudine morale e la voglia di contribuire a dare un futuro migliore alle nuove generazioni. Da dirigente del settore regionale Piano di rientro, egli fu cacciato dal governatore Giuseppe Scopelliti per profonde divergenze su importanti scelte di mera competenza tecnica”.
