CROTONE. “Cumuli di spazzatura si trovano in ogni angolo delle strade, invadono le carreggiate e i marciapiedi. L’odore emanato dai rifiuti, che macerano sotto il sole, rende l’aria irrespirabile”. E’ quanto scrivono le associazioni Cittadinanzattiva e Tribunale per i diritti del malato in una nota inviata al prefetto di Crotone Tiziana Tombesi per “denunciare la situazione igienico sanitaria che è diventata insostenibile da quando in città non vengono raccolti i rifiuti. Numerosi cittadini – spiega la nota – si sono rivolti al nostro movimento perché stanchi della situazione che non è nuova nella nostra città. Sappiamo bene le difficoltà generali derivanti da un mancato piano regionale e da quello dell’Ato provinciale di Crotone, ma tuttò ciò non giustifica l’enorme degrado della città e le conseguenze igienico-sanitarie precarie”. Cittadinanzattiva e Tribunale del malato citano il caso del poliambulatorio di corso Messina con “i cassonetti dei rifiuti nell’adiacenza dell’entrata dove sostano molti cittadini in attesa di entrare per visite specialistiche o strumentali”.
Al prefetto Tombesi, come massima autorità dello Stato, le associazioni chiedono che sia risolto al più presto il problema del ritiro dei rifiuti almeno dalle zone sensibili. “I cittadini – concludono – non meritano di subire l’inattività della politica, hanno dei diritti che vanno salvaguardati”.
